Talking Greenish is the podcast series discussing all things climate change. In Episode three, we discuss the announcement from September 2020 where Xi Jinping declared that China will be carbon neutral by 2060 and peak in carbon output by 2030. We therefore go into China’s current policies regarding climate as well as their political, economical and industrial capabilities to reach these goals. We also discuss their political motivations for making this pledge at this time and reason about the probability of them actually reaching the goals set.
