Musikhjälpen, a charity event originating from the Netherlands is starting its eleventh year right here in Lund at Stortorget from the 10th to the 16th of December. The concept entails three celebrity hosts locked in a radio studio to air 24 hours a day for 6 days straight to collect money for a chosen cause. It has been a huge hit in Sweden, last year over 74 million kronor was raised for charities combating child trafficking. In this podcast we will delve deeper into the perception of charity in other countries, questioning if the same concept of Musikhjälpen could work there. And to tell us a little bit more about this year’s Musikhjälpen and the perception of charity in Sweden we have talked to Anna Johannessen, head producer of this year’s Musikhjälpen.
